A Busy and Rewarding Week at Geno Epilepsy Center
This week has been an incredibly busy and fulfilling time for all of us here at the Geno Epilepsy Center! We joined forces with Epilepsy Alliance Africa to celebrate Stripes Week, a special initiative dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy. This year’s theme, “Empowering Caregivers,” was particularly meaningful as it focused on honoring and uplifting the invaluable role caregivers play in the lives of individuals with epilepsy.
Coincidentally, Stripes Week aligned perfectly with our monthly epilepsy clinic, making it an even more special occasion. Today, everyone at our clinic—our dedicated doctors, board members, and passionate volunteers—came together, proudly wearing our themed Stripes Week t-shirts. It was such a powerful and unifying experience seeing everyone dressed in the same spirit of support and awareness. The energy at the clinic was palpable, and our team looked very smart and coordinated!
We were also honored to have our amazing partners, Ajira Kenya, Uraia Kenya, and CARITAS, join us in celebrating this important week and clinic day. Their presence made the event even more impactful, as we worked together towards creating a stronger, more supportive community for those living with epilepsy. Having these partnerships reminds us of how far we’ve come in building a united front to support epilepsy patients and their caregivers.
It truly was one of the busiest and most productive weeks we’ve had as a Geno family, filled with meaningful activities, engagements, and the unwavering sense of community that drives us. The shared dedication to raising epilepsy awareness, empowering caregivers, and providing excellent care through our clinic was deeply felt by all.
As we continue our work, we remain committed to making epilepsy more visible and ensuring that caregivers receive the recognition and support they deserve.
Thank you to everyone who made this week possible and for all those who continue to support our mission. Together, we are making a difference!
